SOWAR Mehar Singh (20 Jan 1980-07 Apr 04) On 07 Apr 04 Swr Mehar Singh was carr- ying out search and destroy operations in the densely wo- oded Sangri Forests of Kupw- ara. As his group closed in on a terrorist location, an IED was detonated in front of him killing him instantaneously. His gallantry and courage that ensured success of the operation will always inspire us.
